Computed tomography (CT) uses specialized X-ray equipment to visualize cross-sectional anatomical structures inside the body for the demonstration of pathologies and disease processes. The computed tomography certificate trains you to use this equipment to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning.<br><br>Program eligibility is limited to ARRT-registered radiographers, radiation therapists, or nuclear medicine technologists or equivalent (NMTCB) registration. Graduates are eligible to take the post-primary certification exam offered by the ARRT for computed tomography. Successfully passing the ARRT CT exam qualifies you to apply for Florida state licensure and operation of all CT equipment, including diagnostic scanners.
