Physics is the study of the underlying physical laws that govern space, time, matter, and energy. Physics attempts to explain diverse observed physical phenomena in terms of a few fundamental laws and mathematical models that range in size from the elementary particles to the large-scale structure of the observable universe. The physics program includes a broad background in the liberal arts. Our mix of physics, astronomy, and liberal arts courses have given our graduates a strong foundation for future success.
