课程简介
The fields of astronomy and astrophysics have seen great advances over the centuries, and especially over the last few decades. Students study the nature and behavior of our Universe through basic astronomy and astrophysics, stellar and galactic structure, high-energy astrophysics, general relativity and cosmology. The BS in Physics teaches students the basic laws of nature and the universe and imparts critical thinking skills. Graduates find ready employment in physics, astronomy, engineering, physics-based computer modeling, medicine, intellectual property law, and mathematics or continue on to graduate study. Students may choose a concentration, a minor in another college subject, or a mixture of the two.
Discoveries from physics have revolutionized the world and will certainly continue to do so. The area of physics covers such intriguing topics as lasers, superconductors, black holes, quantum computers, big bang theory, relativity, and the list goes on and on. It also covers more basic but still fascinating topics such as why the sky is blue, why sunsets are red, and why ice floats. In short, physicists are explorers trying to understand the world around them.

A BS in Physics prepares you for employment in industrial research or for further graduate studies in physics or related fields, including astrophysics, optics, biophysics, engineering, or medicine. You'll receive training in problem-solving skills that are universal and indispensable.
