课程简介
The doctoral program in Chemistry with a concentration in Nutritional Sciences is an 80-semester hour program. This program does not meet requirements for becoming a Registered Dietitian (RD).Students earning a Ph.D. in Chemistry with a concentration in Nutritional Sciences will gain an in-depth understanding of the biochemical and chemical processes governing metabolism of nutrients and dietary constituents in the body, and how these pathways function in healthy and disease states. The program will focus on providing students with a fundamental understanding of nutritional biochemistry and technical expertise that can be directly applied in the laboratory or industry settings. Students will hone skills of oral and written communication of scientific information, which will help to prepare them for academic and research positions in universities, private research institutions, government agencies, private industries, and the public policy sector.
