The Rutgers-Newark Chemistry Department offers a course of study leading to a B.A. degree in Chemistry certified by the American Chemical Society. After completing the program, recent graduates have taken up positions in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry. Others entered medical school, and some have continued their studies of chemistry or biochemistry in excellent graduate programs around the country.
