The objective of the environmental chemistry program is to provide high-level education for students interested in environmental chemistry and environmental science.<br><br>This course of study prepares students for a wide range of careers. Environmental scientists and specialists are engaged in a very broad variety of tasks, such as providing scientific or technical guidance, support, coordination or oversight to government agencies, reviewing and implementation of technical standards, guidelines, policies and regulations, collection, analysis, management and reporting of environmental data, communication of scientific and technical information to the public as well as to a variety of organizations, and providing input for the development of policies, strategies and codes of practice for environmental management.
