The one-year Master of Arts (MA) program consists of courses in the student's own area of interest, supplemented by advanced courses in other areas of chemistry and, when appropriate, biochemistry, biology, mathematics, and physics. Students admitted to the two-year Master of Science (MS) program continue beyond coursework and carry out a research project under the guidance of a chemistry faculty member. MS students also participate in the departmental colloquium and present a seminar in their chosen specialty.<br>Requirements and deadlines for admission can be found on the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences website. Applicants' undergraduate curricula should include courses in physics, mathematics and inorganic, organic and physical chemistry.
