Training to become a professional geologist or to seek a career in the Earth sciences generally requires an advanced degree. We provide foundational and specialized training for those who are interested in the application of earth sciences to the minerals, energy, and environmental industries. Our graduates also go on to careers with federal and state agencies, research laboratories, and in postsecondary education. Our graduate program seeks to develop the next generation of geoscientists and informed citizens who will shape our planet's future.
