The department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at UCLA offers M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in the physics, chemistry and biology of the atmosphere-ocean system. Our research utilizes theory, modeling, and observations to further our understanding of this very complex system and how its many parts interact. These topics are more relevant than ever as human activities change our global environment. The Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences offers M.S. degrees in the physics, chemistry, and biology of the atmosphere-ocean system. The M.S. is earned as part of the Ph.D. program.
