This program of study prepares students for careers in the fields related to the conservation and management of natural resources as well as remediation of natural and human hazards. This program of study is intended to expose the student to a broader cross-section of earth science courses than the professional geology concentration.The Department of Geosciences strives for an integrated, interdisciplinary study of the whole Earth. The department offers a B.S. undergraduate degree program in Geosciences with emphasis in six different sub-disciplines or concentrations: Professional Geology, Geography, Environmental Geoscience, Broadcast Meteorology, Professional Meteorology, and Geographic Information Systems.
