IELTS Test - General or Academic score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5; TOEFL Paper-based Test (pBT) where the test was carried out prior to 1 October 2017 Score of 550 (with an essay score of 5 TWE); TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT) Score of 60 (with a writing score of 18); Cambridge English Examinations - B2 First, or B2 First for schools, or C1 Advanced, or C2 Proficiency with a score of 169. No less than 162 in each skill; OET - Minimum of Grade C or 200 in all sub-tests; NZCEL Expiring - Level 4 (Academic); Current - Level 4 (Academic); Pearson Test of English (Academic) - PTE (Academic) score of 50 with no band score lower than 42; Language Cert C1 Expert IESOL (LRWS) with PASS and no less than Pass in each skill; Trinity ISE - ISE II with no less than distinction in any band.

Gain the theoretical and practical skills necessary to gain employment as an engineering technician in the mechanical engineering field and help to ‘make the world’. Engineering Technicians are generally involved in design and operations. This qualification is an International Dublin Accord qualification under the accreditation of Engineering New Zealand.<br>You will gain a solid grounding in engineering theory and principles of engineering science including design and drawing, materials, fluids, thermodynamics and production. Engineers are in demand and successful graduates will be able to seek work as Engineering Technicians.<br><br>This programme is internationally benchmarked and recognised under the well-respected Dublin Accord, which opens up opportunities to working both in New Zealand and internationally.<br>You will learn how to:<br>apply engineering theory to practice working within well-defined engineering problems relevant to their specialist field of mechanical engineering.<br>use their engineering knowledge to make informed problem solving decisions in mechanical engineering and to implement these decisions.<br>identify, evaluate and manage risks within well-defined engineering problems relevant to their field of mechanical engineering.
