This programme is very similar to that of the Aerospace Engineering degree programmes (H425 and H421) but also introduces elements of pilot studies for students interested in becoming pilots. In Year One, the Pilot studies module (based on the PPL ground school syllabus) complements the flight training programme of 20 hours which is mandatory. In Year Two, the Pilot studies module is based on the Air Transport Pilot's Licence (ATPL) ground school syllabus. Year One students study core engineering topics such as Structures, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Materials, Maths, Electronics and Management.
