On this Aerospace Engineering degree, you’ll apply everything you learn from our experts to the analysis and design of flying vehicles. Read less You’ll learn about aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, systems, flight dynamics, mechanical engineering and computer-aided design. You’ll complete a creative aerospace-related research project in Year 3 and a group design project in Year 4, which will provide valuable team working experience. You’ll graduate with a rounded education in aerospace engineering, be prepared for a wide range of career options, taking ideas from concept through to flight. Aerospace Engineering could lead to a career in many sectors including aerospace, space, defence, automotive, biotechnology, computing, electronics, energy and manufacturing. If you’re interested in the scientific and mathematical aspects of the discipline you can continue your career in research and teaching, including a postgraduate aerospace research degree at the University. Our Aerospace Society organises lectures, events, visits and competitions and during your studies you’ll be encouraged to join the Royal Aeronautical Society and to participate in local branch events.<br>Our sandwich degrees offer the perfect blend of academic study and practical work experience, allowing you to build confidence in the workplace and graduate work-ready from your degree programme.<br><br>Our previous graduates have found their sandwich year particularly beneficial as it has allowed them to gain practical, hands-on experience within their chosen career and the opportunity to learn directly from professionals based out in industry.
