Materials enable engineers to design and manufacture ideas into devices and structures with the best performance. The course has been designed to provide you with a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of materials engineering, and an understanding of advanced processing and fabrication methods of engineering materials and their characterisation. You will develop an awareness of the social, economic, cultural and environmental aspects of materials engineering in the design and manufacturing of engineering components and processes, and an understanding of your professional and ethical responsibilities.
