A-level - AAB including Mathematics and either Physics, Electronics, Further Mathematics or Chemistry. Practical skills are a crucial part of science education and therefore there will be a requirement to pass the practical element of any science A Level taken.
GCSE English Language and Maths are required at a minimum of Grade C or above or Grade 4 or above for applicants holding newly reformed GCSEs in England.
International Baccalaureate - Obtain 35 Points at International Baccalaureate Diploma, including 6 Points in Mathematics and Physics OR Chemistry at Higher Level and 5 points in one other Higher Level subject.
IELTS 6.0 with no subtest less than 5.5
TOEFL IB: 80 overall with a minimum of 20 in each subtest

Through option choices, this course can be tailored to your needs ranging from the generation and distribution of electrical energy through to control, communications and embedded systems. Circuit theory and design are key elements with maths being applied in their analysis. Other key elements are microcontroller engineering, power electronics, and analogue and digital communications. The course has a strong practical element with labs to support/enforce theory and project work in every year. The embedded systems project in the second year is seen as a highlight and encourages friendly competition between student teams.<br>3-year course, Full time (Optional foundation year)
