You must demonstrate that your English is good enough for you to successfully complete your course. For this course we require: GCSE English Language at grade C/4, IELTS grade of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component, or an alternative acceptable English language qualification
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) internet-based test (IBT) - Overall score of 80 or above, with at least 17 in Listening, 17 in Writing, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking , We do not accept the TOEFL paper-based test, or MyBest scores

TV, radio, text messaging, and air travel - this course gives you a thorough grounding in the engineering that makes these indispensable everyday technologies possible. All our first-year students take part in the faculty's Global Engineering Challenge, working with students from other engineering disciplines to solve a real-world problem. All second years get to work on a week-long project devised by one of our industry partners. You'll also get the chance to work with an engineering company through the Sheffield Industrial Project Scheme. In the third year, you'll carry out your own research project, supervised by an academic.
