Study with us and you’ll learn how to invent, design and manage technologies and their applications. From energy and electronics to communications and network engineering, you’ll be able to choose from roles in a huge range of sectors. This degree is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partly meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer. Gain strong theoretical and practical skills in electronic and electrical engineering with our degree programme at Birmingham. You'll collaborate with academics who are global experts in their field, preparing you for a fascinating career in industry. With a combination of theoretical and practical learning, you’ll discover how to design electrical circuits, develop communications systems and how power distribution systems work. Begin with the fundamentals of engineering then you can specialise in areas that most interest you. You’ll build creative, technical, analytical and decision-making skills. Study in our state-of-the-art building with a Design Centre and the Makerspace practical facility. With our Integrated Design Projects, you can work alongside mechanical and civil engineers. You’ll graduate with interdisciplinary experience ready to tackle engineering challenges in a variety of careers.
