A diploma or degree in information technology, software, engineering or manufacturing from a recognized college or university or equivalent.

All teaching within Loyalist is conducted in English. In order to be successful in a program, skills such as communication, listening comprehension, and reading and writing must be at a level sufficient to meet the demands of post-secondary studies. All applicants to Loyalist whose first language is not English, or whose previous education was in another language, will be expected to provide an English proficiency assessment for admissions approval.

TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language: 560 (paper-based test); 84 (iBT internet-based test) with minimums of 21

IELTS – International English Language Test Service: 6.5 overall with no bands less than 6.0 in each section

Cambridge English Exam: C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency
