Research in Plasma Surface Engineering and Tribology Laboratory deals with design and manufacturing of multifunctional materials with self-adaptive surfaces which could eliminate the usage of such as coolants and lubricants and the applications of environmentally-unfriendly coatings and their processes. The research group is equipped with Eco-friendly Plasma Surface Engineering Research Laboratory, Nanomechanical Test System, and PVDCVD Laboratory. High qualified research personnel have been involved in a broad research interest in the fields of Plasma Surface Engineering, Thin Films and Coatings, Nanomaterials, Biomaterials, Smart materials and Structures, Tribology and Wear, Corrosion and Erosion, and Nanomicro-mechanical and Wear Properties. The research projects have been sponsored by NSERC, CFI, OIT, OCE, AutoSteel Partnership, USAMP, General Motors, Chrysler, Ford Motor, and other industries.<br><br>The goal of the research group is to build a base of research that will significantly impact industrial practice and productivity in an environmentally benign manner through the application of multifunctional nanostructured materials design and advanced surface engineering and manufacturing technology.<br><br>Windsor’s unique climate of co-operation between academic, business and industry sectors gives you access to state-of-the-art engineering facilities and outstanding career opportunities.
