课程简介
The AAS in applied mechanical technology is an AssociateBachelor's degree program that prepares students to enter and successfully complete a baccalaureate program in the College of Engineering Technology in manufacturing engineering technology or mechanical engineering technology. Students strengthen their skills by taking courses taught by NTID faculty. This program is only available to students seeking admission to the National Technical Institute for the Deaf. These courses systematically address the preparatory challenges that deaf and hard-of-hearing students face upon entry to the majors in the College of Engineering Technology. Students in the applied mechanical technology major receive a comprehensive foundation in engineering fundamentals: precision measurement, precision machining, computer aided design applications, strength of materials, and machine design. Upon successful completion of the AAS degree in applied mechanical technology, students enroll in the bachelor's degree program in either manufacturing engineering technology or mechanical engineering technology.
