In addition to offering a graduate degree program in industrial management, the Department of Technology offers certificates for students interested in pursuing short-term study in a technical field. The credit earned for a certificate may be applied toward the M.S. degree in industrial management, with the advice and approval of the student's adviser. All requirements for a certificate of graduate study must be completed within a period of six consecutive years. This certificate is designed to meet the traffic-safety-education needs of safety professionals working in educational- and industrial/occupational-safety settings. The courses for this certificate fulfill the requirements in the state of Illinois for a High School Driver Education Endorsement for an Illinois high school teaching certificate.
