The Powertrain Level I Technician program provides students with basic service and repair training in automotive engine and transmission systems. Program graduates are prepared for apprentice level positions in the industry. A certificate of achievement may be earned by completing all of the courses required for this certificate with a grade of C or better.<br><br>Automotive collision repair and refinish technicians perform structural and cosmetic repair of cars and trucks. If a vehicle has been in an accident, they fix the dents, scratches and other damage to return it to pre-accident condition. If the paint is faded or peeling, they refinish it. At Contra Costa College, you'll spend more than two-thirds of your time in an impressive on-campus automotive collision repair shop, working with many different vehicles and the latest tools, hands-on.
