The civil engineering graduate program is designed to provide a balance of traditional civil engineering subjects with courses exploring innovative technologies currently evolving into specializations. The flexibility of the curriculum allows students to design a program of study tailored to individual career goals. Students entering the program are normally expected to have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, but in certain cases, students with undergraduate backgrounds in related engineering or science disciplines may qualify for admission and will be considered on an individual basis. Students may concentrate their studies in either the structural/geotechnical or water resources/environmental fields of study.
