Civil Engineering is a broad discipline dedicated to the planning, design, construction, and operation of facilities necessary to meet mankind’s basic needs and desires. The program enables future engineers to tackle a wide variety of problems and to be at the forefront in serving society. This program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). A program that generally prepares individuals to apply mathematical and scientific principles to the design, development and operational evaluation of structural, load-bearing, material moving, transportation, water resource, and material control systems; and environmental safety measures.
