Anyone who has earned a visual arts degree (BFA, MFA or equivalent) in fine arts, media arts, craft or design has the opportunity to earn the Visual Arts Certificate in Studio: [Discipline]. These individuals will further their exploration of visual art processes through concentrated study in one studio discipline in which no more than twelve (12) credits were earned during their degree work.
PERSONAL STATEMENT

Write a brief one-page essay explaining the reasons why you wish to attend NSCAD University. Your essay should discuss the prior experience that you bring to the university. You might also want to touch on the skills and knowledge that you hope to gain, and where you think your NSCAD education might lead you in the future.
SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS

An academic record of current and previous study is required from all applicants. All transcripts must be official and received directly by mail from the issuing institution.At least one of these transcripts must show that the applicant completed an undergraduate degree.
TOEFL - at least 94 with no test less than 22
IELTS - at least 7.0 with no band less than 6.0

The Visual Arts Certificate in Studio: Ceramics is like adding a Ceramics Minor to your existing education. You will further your exploration of visual art processes through concentrated study this discipline in which no more than 12 credits were earned during your prior degree work. For those who have a Visual Arts Degree such as a Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Design and wish to study a new studio discipline they haven't studied before or expand their knowledge of a practice they may have only briefly touched on in the past. Certiﬁcate participants tailor their study to meet their individual interests through a wide selection of studio and theoretical credit courses designed for NSCAD degree programs. Certiﬁcate students participate in the same credit courses with the same faculty as degree students.
