A conferred baccalaureate (or equivalent) from a regionally accredited college or university by the expected date of entry into the graduate program. The Graduate School requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale or in the last 60 credit hours in the previous undergraduate or graduate coursework.

课程简介
The undergraduate program produces approximately 70 BS engineers per year, and the graduate program has approximately 50 students enrolled at both the MS and PhD levels. The Department is also home to the Petroleum Engineering Research and Technology Transfer (PERTT) Laboratory, a field scale facility used for research, training, and testing related to drilling and production operations. It has numerous other computational and experimental research and educational laboratories.<br><br>The MS Program Objectives are intended to produce graduates who possess a higher level of understanding of the petroleum engineering discipline than the graduates of the BS Program. MS program engineers should be able to demonstrate the objectives of the BS Program, and within 2-5 years after graduation and for the remainder of their careers also:<br><br> Understand and apply petroleum engineering science and technology in a focused area such as drilling, reservoir, formation evaluation or completions at a level expected of an expert in the field.<br> Be able to understand the need for technology development in a focused area, and make the case to acquire or develop this technology to employers, employees, and the public.<br> Be able to succeed as a technical expert in industry or government agency, or as an instructor in academia.
