Competitive Entry: Three-step process

Preference will be given to applicants with:

Academic grades above the minimum
Requirements completed within the last five years
Additional post-secondary academic courses
A bachelor's degree
Applicants with preferred entrance requirements are to submit transcripts and supporting documentation with their online application.

English language proficiency: Category 2 English Studies 12 (67%) or equivalent

Math*: one of the following (or equivalent):
Pre-Calculus 12 (67%) or
MATH 0001 - Technical Mathematics BCIT (67%) or
MATH 0120 - Math 12 Competency Test BCIT (67%) or
Other acceptable BC and Yukon courses or
3.0 credits of post-secondary math (linear algebra, pre-calculus, or calculus) at 100 level or higher (67%) from a recognized institution
Chemistry: one of the following (or equivalent):
Chemistry 11 (67%) or
Chemistry 12 (67%) or
CHEM 0110 Chemistry 11 Challenge Exam BCIT (67%) or
CHEM 0120 Chemistry 12 Challenge Exam BCIT (67%) or
3.0 credits of post-secondary chemistry (67%) from a recognized institution
Physics: one of the following (or equivalent):
Physics 12 (67%) or
PHYS 0312 - Technology Entry Physics 2 BCIT (67%) or
PHYS 0120 - Physics 12 Challenge Exam BCIT (67%) or
3.0 credits of post-secondary physics (67%) from a recognized institution

IELTS Academic - Overall score 6.5 No band less than 5.5.
TOEFL (iBT) - Overall score 86 No section score less than 20.
