A graduate applicant who has not earned his or her four-year bachelor's or a master's degree from a U.S. university accredited by the American Board of Engineering and Technology must submit Graduate Records Examination (GRE) scores. GRE minimum score guidelines are: 146 Verbal, 155 Quantitative, and 3.0 Analytical Writing. The CCEE department's minimum TOEFL requirement is: TOEFL-iBT 82 or TOEFL-pBT 553. If your score is below this level your application will not be considered for admission to the Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering Department. Take your TOEFL exam at least three months before you apply. If you take the IELTS instead of the TOEFL, the application requirement is 6.5. The CCEE department takes into account your total application package, including your GPA, GRE scores, TOEFL score, letters of recommendation, transcripts, statement of purpose, and resume when considering you for admission. All degree-seeking graduate students must have graduated with a bachelor's or master's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or from a recognized foreign institution where the requirements for the bachelor's degree or its equivalent are similar to those at ISU. Full Admission status may be granted to an applicant who either has achieved a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or greater (on a 4.0 scale).
