The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers several certificates of graduate study for students interested in pursuing short-term study focused on a technical area related to mechanical engineering. The certificates are ideally suited for graduate-level students interested in lifelong learning and in the advancement of their skills in an area of mechanical engineering. Credit earned for a certificate may be applied toward the M.S. degree in mechanical engineering with the approval of the department. Course work for this certificate unifies the methods applied to design of products simultaneous with full consideration of manufacturing methods.
