The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science (MEMS) awards the BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and MS and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering. MEMS faculty also advise PhD students in Materials Science and Engineering through the interdisciplinary Institute for Materials Science and Engineering (IMSE). The Department of Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science offers a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering with either a Thesis Option or Course Option.
