Applicants must have completed a bachelor's in civil engineering or another related engineering discipline. Candidates wishing to pursue acceptance into the program with a non-Civil/Environmental Engineering background are welcome to apply and should request specific detailed information regarding admission policy and possible leveling courses with the graduate advisor. Students need at least a 2.5 undergraduate grade point average to be considered for admission. Applicants from countries where English is not the first language are required to demonstrate English proficiency. Please consult the graduate school website for required scores. If you did not attend high school in the United States and your most recent institution of learning was not located in an English-speaking country, UTEP requires you to provide evidence of English-language proficiency. Minimum score 550 on the paper-based (pBT) TOEFL. Some programs require 600 or better. Minimum score of 79 on the internet-based test (iBT), and minimum of 6.5 on IELTS.

课程简介
MSCE / MSnE研究生课程要求毕业的最低平均绩点为3.0。研究生学分仅接受A,B和C级。论文选修课程至少需要30个研究生学分。研究生课程必须至少达到18个学分,并且论文研究必须获得6个学分(CE 5398和CE 5399)。MSCE计划的非论文选修课程要求至少33个研究生学分,其中至少21个学分必须是研究生课程,并且必须将6个学分作为研究生设计项目(CE 5396和CE 5397)。修读MSCE的建筑管理领域课程不得超过三门。
UTEP's environmental engineering master's program integrates the study of physical, chemical, and biological processes as they relate to issues with water, air quality and waste management to launch meaningful projects for the Paso del Norte region. Work with faculty in the Water Quality Laboratory to render impactful solutions for hydrological challenges amid El Paso's location in the arid Southwest.<br>Students will demonstrate an ability to apply advanced science and engineering concepts to the solution of complex engineering problems.<br> Students will demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form.<br> Students will demonstrate an ability to research, analyze, and/or design complex engineering systems to meet a desired need.
