The program in energy engineering is designed to prepare students to perform state-of-the-art work on energy systems. Option tracks in solar energy (through the Department of Mechanical Engineering) and nuclear engineering are available. Participants in the program may elect to follow a thesis or project option. The thesis option requires a minimum of 30 credit hours excluding seminar: 24 credit hours of course work plus six hours of thesis research.
