Lehigh's five-year, dual-degree program in Arts & Engineering allows students to pursue convergent and complementary interests. Students earn two Bachelor's degrees, one from the Rossin College and one from the College of Arts and Sciences.<br> <br>Students fulfill all requirements for their professional engineering degree, with the first three years of science and engineering courses spread out over four years. During this time, students pursue a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in the College of Arts and Sciences.Lehigh's unique arts and engineering program allows students to pursue convergent and complementary interests. It is a five-year dual-degree program administered by the College of Arts and Sciences, with students earning two bachelor's degrees: one from the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science and another from the College of Arts and Sciences. Arts-engineers fulfill all requirements for the professional engineering degree for which they are working. However, the first three years of science and engineering courses are spread out over four years, and during this time, the arts-engineer is a student in the College of Arts and Sciences pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science major program. In many instances, it may be advisable to take the two degrees at the end of the fifth year. Arts-engineers working toward the Bachelor of Science in biology, computer science, environmental science, geological sciences, geophysics, molecular biology or statistics are advised to pay special attention to the engineering Humanities and Social Science requirement, which must be met in time for the student to qualify for the B.S. in engineering. Arts-engineers have the same opportunities for multiple majors and special interdisciplinary majors as are available to students working for the baccalaureate (B.S. or B.A. degree only) in the colleges.
