The department offers a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in electrical engineering with two options. The non-thesis option requires a minimum of 30 semester credit hours (SCH) of approved course work. The thesis option requires a minimum of 24 SCH of approved course work plus a thesis comprising six SCH of research guidance. The approved course work must include at least 18 SCH of approved electrical engineering courses. The remaining courses must be in engineering and science disciplines and approved by the graduate coordinator of the Department. Develop innovative computing architectures and expand the potential uses of reconfigurable systems, hardware acceleration, and heterogeneous architectures in general. It is paramount that a unified view of the hardware resources be provided independently of their type. This would facilitate ease-of-use, portability and hence the wide adoption of these promising technologies.
