Applicants will be asked to provide the names of 3 recommenders in the online application system the recommenders will then be sent further instructions regarding how to submit recommendations
Copy of GRE scores minimum percentiles of 40 percent on verbal and 65 percent on quantitative parts
Copy of TOEFL scores required of all international applicants minimum of 550 on the written exam or 79 on the Internetbased test with a minimum score of 58-23 on the listening part IELTS scores are also accepted minimum of 6.5 required
Copy of transcripts from all colleges and universities minimum GPA 3.0 international students must submit individual semester transcripts consolidated transcripts will not be accepted

The electrical energy system research in the College of Engineering and Applied Science Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Wyoming is highly diversified and interdisciplinary. Research groups in our department work on different aspects to facilitate a more efficient, reliable and secured electrical power grid.<br><br>In particular:<br><br>Dr. Duan and his group have been working on statistical signal processing techniques for cyber security enhancement and communication and networking for data delivery.<br>Dr. Muknahallipatna and his group have been developing high performance computation to support real-time data analysis and efficient data storage.<br>Dr. OBrien and his group have been designing variable loop transmission systems for simultaneous power regulation and load mitigation applied to large wind turbines.<br>Dr. Pierre and his group have been investigating advanced signal processing techniques to power system applications including power system electromechanical mode monitoring, oscillation detection and wide area power system test.
