Graduate students play an essential part in carrying out the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science's mission to conduct research that will make a difference to industry, government, and society. The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is instrumental in preparing students at all levels for technological productivity. The success of our graduate students in industry and higher education reflects our excellence. In industry, our graduate degree holders are presidents, CEOs, CIOs, vice presidents, directors, and division and department managers. Some have founded at least one company and initiated and promoted new technologies, operations and sales strategies. Others have excelled as senior designers, project managers, senior scientists, and lead engineers. In higher education, they are professors, deans, and research directors. Graduate degrees have enriched their lives and careers, while affecting positively the economy of the state and nation. All are excellent role models for their peers and our students.
