Missouri S&T's Ph.D. degree in mining engineering prepares students for careers in academia, consulting and industry. <br><br>You will be mentored by leading experts in mining engineering and work with unique research facilities that will provide you the opportunity to conduct novel research in mining and related areas.<br>The Ph.D.degree requires a minimum of three years of full-time study beyond the bachelor's degree, including research work for the dissertation. Ph.D. candidates must complete course requirements and novel research in mining-related topics.<br>The mining engineering program in the department of mining & explosives engineering offers the graduate certificate, master of engineering (M.E.), master of science (M.S.), doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) and doctor of engineering (D.E.) degrees in mining engineering. The M.S. with thesis and Ph.D.degrees require research components for program completion.
