The study of law and its practical and theoretical implications is greatly informed by the social and cultural forces that impact the origins of legislation, its interpretation, and practice. The combined Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Master of Arts (M.A.) program in Legal Studies and Sociology will allow you to develop both the legal preparation and sociological understanding and research skills necessary to succeed. In the program, you will be able to complete both your undergraduate and graduate degrees in just five years of full-time study. While still working toward your undergraduate Legal Studies degree, you enroll in four approved graduate courses in Sociology. These courses will still apply to your bachelor's degree if for any reason you do not wish to continue at the master's level after four years.
